The main differences between silicone and PVC soft glue are as follows:
1. From the perspective of material itself, PVC soft rubber products are mainly made by mixing PVC powder (polyvinyl chloride) with oil and color paste. The raw materials are made by micro injection dripping process and heating and cooling. Silicone ornaments are mainly made by adding chemical elements such as silicone material and color paste, which are pressed and mixed by a rubber refining machine. The required raw materials are formed by heating and cooling with an oil press in the mold. Silicone includes liquid silicone and solid silicone.
2. From the appearance of the product, PVC soft rubber ornaments appear relatively rough compared to silicone ornaments, and the surface of silicone ornaments is smooth and has color.
3. Judging from the texture, silicone products are soft, with good toughness and elasticity, while PVC soft glue is relatively hard, and both softness and hardness can be adjusted, but PVC soft glue has no toughness/elasticity.
4. PVC soft rubber materials include ordinary materials and environmentally friendly materials, also known as ATBC-PVC, while silicone can pass ROHS certification and food grade certification, making it very environmentally friendly.
5. Silicone product toys are generally made relatively transparent. Silicone has flame retardancy, and the finished product can withstand high temperatures above 500 degrees. PVC products have a lower ignition point, and after being burned, the product will turn black and have an unpleasant odor.
